Accessibility reviews
An Accessibility Review involves checking that your website is accessible to all users, regardless of physical, sensory and cognitive disabilities.
To measure the accessibility of your website we check its conformance against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), which are universally recognised as a de facto standard for Web Accessibility. We can assess your website against the old (WCAG 1.0) or the most recent (WCAG 2.0) version of the guidelines, and against any level of conformance (Level A, Level AA, Level AAA). Assistive technologies, such as Jaws (the most popular screen reader in Australia), are utilised during the evaluation process.
We then deliver a report that describes in detail all issues observed on your website and recommendations on how you can overcome them. More specifically, in the report you will find:
- Your website’s compliance with each success criterion.
- The rationale behind each guideline and how the guideline benefits different groups of users.
- The description of all issues found on your website, including examples of problematic sections of HTML code and CSS.
- Specific suggestions on how to address these issues, including examples of accessible code or content.
